4041 Serial No. Plate

Does anyone know where the Serial # plate is supposed to be on a 4041? I need to insure my tractor for business reasons and my ins. company needs some kind of ID #. My 4041 doesn't have a plate in the same location as my 9020's. Paul

the operator's manual says right side of the frame below the tractor's seat mine seems to be a little further forward of the seat on the right side

Paul, It is supposed to be right in front of the hydro. filter on the frame tunnel (they are all there 4040,4041,9020, etc.). I think they get scraped off sometimes when people repaint. Sometimes you can look very closely and still see the numbers stamped into the frame where the tag used to be. Good luck. Give the insurance guy the engine ID# and maybe that will suffice. Jeff
