What's going on - follow up (D-A 1920)

There is no drain on the battery, but the voltage does not vary by more than 1/2 a volt when the tractor is running. What you guys are telling me is that this is a charging problem. My question (perhaps a dumb one) is where are the components of the charging system? This is a Kohler twin 20Hp. I know where the starter is (I had it rebuilt), but where do I find the charging stuff (gen, reg., etc)? And what is the best way to check it out?

If you don't already have an engine manual, see link below. The manual tells how to troubleshoot and repair step by step.[A href='http://www.jackssmallengines.com/serk.cfm']http://www.jackssmallengines.com/serk.cfm[/a]

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
