23D Crankshaft dimension

Recommended Posts

I may have to rebuild my engine but need to know if the .020 undersize rod will work. What would the reworked dimension of the crank be to accept the .020 undersize? OR can someone suggest a drop in replacement for the 23D in a 1964 Simplicity Landlord. Thanks in advance.

Do you work there or own shares ;^) I did inquire with them today and hope for reply soon. I have decided to make the ol' 9HP work again and will have fun doing it. From your other post I wasn't sure about the crank but needed to know the price tag if mine was BER. I now have the dimensions and will probably be able to reuse the old one.

From a parts/service person over the phone: The original dimension of the crank pin should be 1.1844 max .001 under and max .0005 out of round avail undersize rod .020
