Here is some information for other 7790 and 920 owners from a response by Briggs & Stratton to me on the subject. That's why I got rid of my 920.When I called up Ga. to price a rebuld kit I got 'sticker shock' not worth it IMO,You can put a NEW V-Twin 18 Kohler in it for the same money,,

I hear how expensive it is, but still have not seen figures of any kind. I'll put it like this, if I take and sell two garden tractors I have $250 ea in, and get $1000 out of ea and put the money into the Diesel, I actually only have $500 in the diesel. Go from there. Its my warped way of looking at the problem. Might not make good economic sense but its the collector coming out in me. First though, I am going to get it running and see just how bad it is. I have had other units where the owners have said engine needed replaced and it was actually no where near the case......
