Buckskin leather is really soft and thin like suede or like a chamois. Stamping and carving doesn't work very well on it. I have thought about trying to brand it but haven't yet. My kids use fabric paint on it and it works ok. I agree. A leather simplicity or allis would be cool. Hoping I get some action shots this year hauling last years 10 pointer I missed my chance on, up from the woods with my 3416H. Brent

Don't have any Simplicity hats but, for you deer hunters (see Kitty Kitty Kitty post) I can have my wife sew up some genuine brain tanned buckskin winter baseball caps. These caps are extremely warm for baseball caps (don't really recommend summer wear). I am short on material now but plan to do 15 or so more hides this season.
