Limited slip?

I have a 7114H that has a limited slip. I have been stuck and did spin either wheel, but did not feel I had any traction gain from the limited slip. Are there maintenance items that may need attention? Is this limited slip just very limited? There appears there was effort by MFG to add traction so I need to find it. Help? Steve

There is a way to increase the friction in the limited slip differential to keep both rear wheels pulling together much better. You will need to take the diff apart and add shim washers under the springs to increase the spring force. I did this over twenty years ago on one of my tractors and it still works fine today. Someone else did a write up on this procedure. If you do a search you should be able to find it. It is not that difficult since I was able to figure it out by myself over 20 years ago.
