707 tiller capable?

Recommended Posts

Thinkin' about buying a Simp.Broadmoor 707. Don't know the mfg#. I've looked in the cross reference materials and read various owners manuals posted here and it looks as though some were and some were not, depending on the year. The tractor is small, with the headlights mounted on the outside of the hood.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thankin' ya in advance........Rick :)

The 707's were capable of handling the 30" tiler made for the lawn tractors, but the tractor would require a two speed pulley to reduce the ground speed. the big drawback to tilling with the lawn tractors is that there is no live power. When you push in on the clutch/brake you kill the power to the tiller too. SmilinSam

Actually the tiller option was not available until the 728 and later models - it also needed the trans to be built with a PTO shaft which was an extension of the brake shaft.
