Forgive me if this is posted incorrectly as I am a newcomer who is trying any possible source for help. I am in serious need of some info. regarding a parts source for my Allis-Chalmers Tracker-7 snow blower. In particular, the drive axle seal (left side) but any info. on this machine would be welcomed. Thank you...

If you have the 'manufacturer's' number you could try it here to find a manual: http://www.simplicitymfg.com/manuals/index.cfm?rd=1 Good luck!

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately they have nothing available when I enter my manufacturer number. I know the search box on that website is looking for a "model number" which as you obviously know is listed on these old machines as a "manufacturer number". I don't know where to turn next. I found 1 for sale on line but the seller wants $800.00 for it! Thanks again for the info. - very much appreciated.

Try this http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=heCBEN8cvN2rE5CSl54bp796Dq If this is the one, we might be able to find a Simplicity equivalent to give you the equivalent Simplicity part numbers. Take a look at these below....one might work for you. 990430 http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=heCyEN8cuJ2rE3CSl5kbp796Dq http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=heCBEN8auF2rE3CDk5kbp796Dq http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=heCBEN8auFYrE3CDk5kbp796Dq http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=heCBEN8auF4rE3CDk5kbp796Dq This last document seems to be a later issue of a compilation of several different models http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=heCBEN8.wH6rE4CDk5kbp796Dq

Stevenj - This is excellent! The first link definitely is for my machine. When you find the Tracker-7 section on page 3, under the transmission sub-section my mfr.# is listed (2029971) and tells me to see page 69 which is not included. The other links you provided do show what seems to be the same machine and transmission exploded parts views are shown. After reviewing the pictures, there doesn't appear to be a seal where I thought there would be so I guess I need to dig deeper to find out why I have transmission oil leaking out of the left side of the tranny and dripping down the inside and outside of the left wheel/tire. If I discover what part(s) I may need, is there a source to purchase them that you know of? Please let me know. Your help is very much appreciated - I love this machine and want to keep it going as it is in excellent condition! Thank you!!!

If you have a Simplicity part # any simplicity dealer can check for available parts, or you could try one of the SimpleTractors site sponsors/advertisers.

Without looking at the parts diagrams or owners manuals, I wonder if the transmission is actually packed with grease and what you have is grease leaking past one of the bushings. Given that it operates in the winter, dust and dirt are not a big concern; same reason that they don't have air cleaners.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
