Looking at an allis model 310 with tiller and mower, he wants $650. Seems high and this seems like a really old mower. Is it as good a tractor as the 716H? WC Edgar steelwc@alltel.net

300 Series were made by Allis-Chalmers (not Simplicity) during 1971 and perhaps early 1972 at the AC plant in Lexington SC. They use some Simplicity components, like the transmission, but they have many parts that are unique, so parts availability is a valid concern. Sometime in 1972, the 400 series was introduced, replacing them. I'd personally prefer the 716H if you're going to use it -- if you're going to "collect" it, the 310 is much more a rare bird....

I have to agree with Kent. While the 300 series tractors are heavy duty, they are hard to get impliments for. On the other hand the 700 series Allis can also be swiched with the Simp.7010 series.More tractors =lower price for parts and imp.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
