LS axle in a 3000-series Sovereign

Newbie here again, can anyone explain the real-world effectiveness of the LS rear axle in an older Sovereign? If one had never been serviced up to this point, would it likely need to be re-built for it to be effective? I have a hilly and often wet property, just thinking if this feature would really be a benefit for me. It would be a GREAT justification to buy yet another old tractor!

Yes, very interesting! I've owned Cub Cadet and Wheel Horse tractors, and I don't believe EITHER had such a traction control device in the axle diff. Got stuck with each many times. Is this a Simplicity-only feature?
