Finally got one

I've been looking for a later FTD single belt blower for a long time and it seems they are few and far between in PA for the budget I can muster. Well I finally scored one on CL today for $125 and a 50 mi drive^ It even has the belt and hitch. Looks like it had a spout rotator on it.If you need the manual stick and cable,I'd sell the one off the 36" I just finished. The arm extension could go with it too,and the U-bracket for the rod.

Actually it has the cable barrel and an odd bearing on the end(heavy greasable one) where the rod goes in. What I need to work on is the engagement rockers. It seems to be missing one linkage along the way. How much would you sell the rods for?

Good score. But I think you got a RBT 2 pulley hitch based on what I can see. The FDT hitch has a support bar across the top of the hitch where the clutch built into the hitch mounts. I can't see it in the pic. Also "V" pulley is too big. That might be why you're having trouble with the "engagement rockers". This is what the FDT hitch looks like (less the manual clutch arm I cut off so the hitch would fit under a 7100 series frame/hood):

It does look like a FDT blowerhead based on the tunnel size. If it's a 5 1/4" driven pulley, it's a FDT blower.

From what I can tell its a 1690032 blower so that would be RBT. If someone would be willing to trade a FDT hitch it would be appreciated. ;)

Here's some better pix of the progress. Now all I need is the Electric clutch to drive it. Made by welding 3 rod pieces together. Works with very light pressure and no grip force. Nice for carpal tunnel wristssm01

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
