hey all I have a front pto thats is electric on my alis 716 with a kohler motor well I took it off to clean and on the magnet part the coating over the whole coil of wires, not on the wire itself is starting to come off in some places can I just cover it with jbweld or silicone or do I have to get a new one because I just got a snow blower for it and need the front pto

Any clear non metalic epoxy should be fine for it as long as you clean the area well. It just has to keep it sealed.

I used several heavy coats of clear-coat on my ignition coil/magnito to protect the windings and waterproof it. worked good...

I have used brush on electrical tape. I put on two coats, worked great, most auto parts stores should stock it.

well I used a clear epoxy and it worked great once it hardend I rechecked the unit and now I am good to go for the like new 42 inch frount snowblower with hitch that I bought for 100.00 off craigs list (score)dOd I cant beleive how clean this thing is and it came off the same tractor I have
