The Widow Maker aka Brushcutter

Made a sweet trade with another tractor enthusiast for this baby. Looks to be in immaculate shape. I'll just have to see what I can find for a lift rod and an engagement lever. Any idea on value? I plan on keeping just curious as to what they are worth as this is the only one I have ever seen in person. Anyone have an electronic copy of the manual please let me know. I'll be wanting to put on new belts. Nice score! It should use the same engagement rod and lift rod as a snowblower, since it is basically the same front hitch...

They seem to move around the $250 -$300 mark most of the time. I have had around 3 of them over the years, and of course ...sold them all when I should have kept onesm00

I'll be keeping this one for sure. It will help me mow down the canary grass and make my food plot bigger for the deer. What size pulley mounts to the engine to drive the belts?

Chris, the Weedcutter uses the same PTO pulley and engagement lever as a snowblower, but uses a cable to lift. You don't want that thing used with any down pressure, and will find those running bars will dig into the ground quickly. I use mine with hydrolift, and float it about an inch over the ground, to avoid digging up turf, and excess wear on the bars. That one has a beautiful finish! They do an awesome job, and I THINK you need a 63" belt. I'll have to look. For some reason that # sticks in my head.

Chris is going to be taking a break from the deer woods once he gets that baby mounted up! }:) He won't be able to stay off a tractor seat if he can find some brush. They are a smooth operator, and do a real number on anything that you put in front of them. Chris, there are three inner belts @ 1/2x30".

Thanks for all the input. I'll be putting all new belts on, I have a snow thrower pulley. I downloaded the manual and will be checking it out.
