Well it is a 7100 series tractor. They don`t put the (1) in it obviously. The remaining numbers (790) is the displacement in cm`s of the engine. Lombardini 790cm. If you need a copy of the repair manual and parts manual send me your email address in a private message and I will send them to you. The operators manual and Simplicity parts manual is available through Simplicity but I can send that as well.

Welcome to the 7790 owner's club. It's an awesome engine in a great garden tractor. The biggest problems are fuel leaks and cooling fins that can get blocked with grass. If the fins do get blocked, the piston rings loose their temper and it becomes a mosquito fogger. There are posts in the archives on solving fuel leaks.

This 7790 starts good with some smoke but clears up in a couple of minutes. Seem to have good power. I have it in my shop going over it , bgb is very tight , no leaks around rearend, but does have what seems like slow weeping leak above fuel filter around the line fitting. Checked and it is tight .Is there a gasket or internal seal in this fittings?
