put the snow cab on a little while back and tractor has sat ever since. went to do a quick plow yesterday . had to jump it. and ofcourse now the battery is weak and wont hold a charge. looks like it's gonna be a little tight getting the battery out with the cab brackets in the way. Dead battery for no snow, I would take that deal every time! I like the chains on the front tires, where'd you get them and do you remember what they cost?

#35 or #40 chain down the center of tire works better.

Yup It's a real pita to change a battery with a cab installed, because of the electric spout rotator, I try to have a good battery installed in the blower tractor before dressing it out for winter duty. No snow here either, no complaints from me. 8 weeks of cold to go!

I run all my workers up to full temp at least once a week, PITA sometimes but... My standby generator says to ensure maximium reliability start and run 15 minuites every week. At least I find problems before the snow fly's or power goes out and can work on them at my conveniance. My B-210 has a custom hinged panel in the hood allowing access to battery and engine. With the cab on. I like it. :)

old battery came out with a little struggle. had to fight the new one a little more to get it in. probably a good thing i didn't have the original style tall battery in there

I keep a battery tender on my tractor through the winter months to make sure when I need it starting will not be problem.

When I built my cab, i made the back so it will swing up on hinges. Then the seat can be raised and tilted and the battery is accessible. Of course, if your battery isn't under the seat this doesn't help. Just saying this to acknowledge that not being able to access a battery in the winter time is a real bummer. Glad you managed to get yours out. Steve
