Just one more question? have you taken the carb completely off of the engine cleared all of the gas and tipped it upside down slowly to hear if the needle seat again,....HEAR if the needle seat is sticking? I have had a few that stick and you hear them release a few seconds after you turn it upside don't not as it should be right after you do the delay will tell you it is sticking.

I've had this happen just recently on both of my big tens. They both have metal needle valves and I got both of them to stop by making sure the float was level all the way around put top of carb upside down and let float rest than check it. It worked for both but installed inline shutoff as a secondary but haven't shut them off yet. Good luck. Andy
