Legacy snowblower lift height

Recommended Posts

Hi, For all those members that have Legacy (not the later XL model) how high can you lift your snow blower. While mine lifts at an angle I can only get the blower about 3 inches off the ground. I am running the 46 inch single stage blower. Where should I start looking? thanks Rick.......

I can lift my 2 stage blower about 6-8" without any chattering of the PTO, higher but diff's on PTO start chattering. Do you have the ladder frame hooked to your blower? You can tighten or loosen the eyebolt(has springs attached on the nut end) on the Hitch group.Hope this helps.

On the Simplicity website, under manuals type in model # 1692942. Select operators manual(4th selection) and on page 12 of operators manual it gives you instructions on adjustments. Hope this is what you need.

Over a year ago, you answered a question I had about the tool bar for my FDT. In your reply dated Dec 31, 2019  you said the spacer, part #16, goes in the bar to allow for up and down depth adjustment. does this mean the bolt has to be tightened at whatever depth desired or does the bolt slide up and down, allowing the lower hitch to free float?
If it is tightened so the lower hitch and the bar are rigid, then is the depth to be controlled by the shoes? Or by the lift handle?
Is there any kind of user directions for the tool bar? The Outdoor Power Manual basically shows how to assemble the bar but not how to use it
