Snow Blower Chute Freezing

First time I recall having this happen, but my chute had ice forming making it difficult if not impossible to turn (3112 42 in single). It was cold and fluffy snow. I poured RV antifreeze on it before I put it away and it started working fine again. Anyone have any pre-lube tricks to stop this from happening?

I spray mine with the cheapest non-stick frying pan spray I can find at walleyworld. I have also oiled it good before using it. No problems.
