If I plastigauge gap between crankshaft pin and connecting rod (with the correct torque of course), anyone know what that should be for a briggs 243431 engine? not trying to be repetitive in posts just forgot to ask in the previos one. all briggs manual says is rod should be able to move slightly. trying to figure out if my current rod and crank setup will work or if more parts are needed to be bought since engine is opened up. Thanks Tobin

If your usesing the green sealed power plastic gauge .001 to .0015 would be about as good as you can get however .002 to .003 would probably be acceptable but no more clearance then that.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
