B110 Carb Questions

Working on the carb for my B110. Reading here I see they tend to leak, but this thing almost gushes gas. I see Briggs has 2 different carb kits a 394989 and a 391071. The date code on mine is 6712081, from the Briggs parts book, I'd need the 391071, correct? Also, the nozzle turned out hard the entire way and the threads on it looked just a bit messed up. Can I run a tap down the nozzle threads to clean them up, or should I get a new lower half? What size tap would I need if it can be done? Last question, does it matter if I get a Briggs carb kit, or is an Oregon one ok? B110guy

I have used Oregon kits with out any problems. The tap is a odd ball size and Briggs sells them as a kit. 391071 is the kit and there is one on ebay for less than 10 dollars.
