Shipping for snowblower

Recommended Posts

dentwizz
I have a person who wants to get a Broadmoor blower from me but wants to know how much it would be to ship. I have not yet shipped anything of that proportion or weight, so I would like to know what suggestions/recommendations you guys have on the matter. The route would be from PA to Iowa.

I use freightquote.com They cover several of the major shippers. Many people don't know, but UPS will take up to 150 pounds. If you use them, box it very well, they have got me a couple times with damage

I have used ABF trucking "dock to dock" several times in the past. I had to take the palletized item to their dock about thirty miles from me. The buyer then picked up the item and paid for shipping at the ABF dock nearest to him. It worked out nicely. http://www.abfs.com/default.asp
