Hydraulic lift leakdown - newer Sovereign

Recommended Posts

dlkelley713
Hey Folks, I'm currently swapping out my cracked rockshaft with an armstrong rockshaft (thanks to Brettw)in my 93 Sovereign. I have a slow leakdown in my lift, so I figured I'd put in some new o-rings while I had the cylinder out. Unfortunatly I can't see how to get it open! There's a weld bead around each end cap. What am I missing? I've seen the post about rebuild of the older units, but nothing on the 'newer' cylinders... Help? Thanks, Dan

Thanks 1Litre, I wish I'd asked that question 'before' I disconnected the fittingsB). Mine isn't bad enough to affect the action...just leaks down over a night or two. Oh well... time to bleed. Thanks for the reply, Dan
