Gas tank leaking on 7119

I have my friend's Simplicity 7119, he wanted to fix the crankshaft seal on the pto side of the motor. But he told me that the gas tank is leaking on the bottom of the tank. I believe it started leaking after he had the KT19 overhauled, he said they took out the tank. I usually don't take the tank out on a rebuild job. So, how do you fix a leaking tank?

more than likely it is just the rubber bushing.

How do you fix that Ray?

get the part number from manual and go to a simplicity dealer and get a new one. It is an easy fix. Pop out the old and install the new one.
