18 hp single cyl kohler

Recommended Posts

I think they are a popular engine with pullers, either that or its the 18hp cam that they want. I think (but don't hold me to it) its popular to swap the 18hp cam into the 16hp K341 engine

Great pulling engine, gobs of power. If you can keep the engine cool (keep the head very clean) they can make a good work engine. The problem is if the head gets too hot and expands the overhead valve seat drops out of the head. If the engine is good the valve seats need to be peened (or center punched) to hold in place, and then you should be good to go.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
