I made a comment on "Mack's" loader project forum. I said I wanted a loader like that & I had just the tractor for it... <<< A MIRACLE >>> I recieved an E-mail from member "CarlH" who said he had a loader like Mack's for sale if I want it? A few days later & here it is...He is a very nice guy, even delivered it to the north side of Indy for me & saved me the Indy traffic and 1 1/2hr off my 6 hr round trip. And he gave me a very fair price...Thanks again Carl sm01

Even has a ForkLift attachment 8D

Does anyone know if Kwik-Way is still in buisness or if you can get parts manuals...or parts for these??

Greg, next you will be building racks along the walls to lift your attachments up into off the floor:D

Very nice. Did they make one to fit the 3112H? If they did I would like to find one or maybe plans to build one.

Sam, You mean like these :D

Not really enough room in my garage for a loader with forks, this is what I use

Would not trust it to lift a HD tiller, but decks, blocks, other attachments are fine.

Wow, looks good. I do not see the pump and reservoir. Trust you have them in the back of the truck. So,

what tractor is it slated for? :)

Mack I think I'll put it on the only tractor I have with the reinforced frame around the BGB....410S, but I'll need to swap to a bigger engine. I have a Kohler 12hp with a broken rod I may use or an extra Briggs 16...? Didn't come with the pump...Do you know the specs on your pump? GPM, Pressure, etc?

Greg, the only information for the pump I have is from a KW loader manual for a model # 45-08210 for wheel Horse tractors. The parts section gives a description of a #304 pump and part #100943. Has no specs. on the pump itself though.

Greg, I exchanged 5 emails with a Don Molst at Kwik Way with a zero result also. Gave up on them. Look here at PF Engineering. There is a lot of information here and a cool site! :) http://www.p.f.engineering.50megs.com/

Here is a portion from the PF Engineering FAQ section.
quote:
Q. how much hydraulic flow (GPM) and PSI is required to run this Loader? A. The Loader can be run with as little as 2 or 3 Gallons Per Minute hydraulic flow and with as low as 750 PSI. for tractors with low GPM on-board hydraulic capabilities we suggest using 1.5" bore hydraulic cylnders to maintain good operating speed, but if your tractor generates 4 GPM or more on-board you can go with the more economical 2" bore hydraulic cylinders. for tractors without on-board hydraulics, the most economical way to go would be to belt drive a 4 to 8 GPM hydraulic pump from the same pulley that runs your mower deck and use the 2" bore hydraulic cylinders Q. how much can this loader lift? A. this front end loader can easily lift 500 lbs and more if your tractor has sufficient vehicle weight to offset the weight on the front end. a pair of 2" bore cylinders running at 1000 PSI system pressure can easily lift in excess of 1000 lbs and likewise a pair of 1.5" bore hydraulic cylinders @ 1000 PSI system pressure will lift as much as a garden tractor can safely handle and then some. the hydraulic system i spec in the plans is overkill for a garden tractor and very sufficient for compact 4WD diesel tractors. smaller tractors have the option of running a lower system pressure with the 2" bore cylinders and extending the life of their hydraulic components while still being able to lift as much as safe operation allows.

I have seen mention of this pump elsewhere http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200329706_200329706 or http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200329712_200329712 They seem to economically meet the requirements and also have the ability to be driven by a belt and pulley to a 150 lb. side load rather than just through only a direct coupling as I think we would be driving via pto pulley Just to add something to this discussion... I think it would be a good idea to incorporate a filter in these older systems as they have likely been disassembled and possibly kicking around a little.... this looks nice to me: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/NTESearch?storeId=6970&N=0&Ntk=All&Ntt=hydraulic+filter&Nty=1&D=hydraulic+filter&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Dx=mode+matchallpartial another consideration is to check for a suction strainer http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200466909_200466909 http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200466911_200466911

Thanks Mack, That is helpful info. I have 1 1/2" lift cyl's so mine may have been run from a tractors hydro system?? (I think it was on a W-Horse) Regardless, I'm gonna use a seperate pump/hydro system. Thanks again for the info... ps. I love your NOS Loader, very nice

Thanks Chris...I believe that great minds think alike ...(I had picked the same family of pumps from Northren Supply, I just needed to know which specs to choose) But I do like your idea for adding an actual hydro filter in the return line. and the tank I'm looking at has a strainer in it. sm01
