Easy question for some but not me

I have several and they're all the same tractor. Like Bob said the tires, options, etc may vary. My 7010-7016's all have briggs engines w/starter-gens but a 7112 has a kohler w/electric starter. dont know if any 70's had kohlers.

AC Manual, Late-700 Series (equivalents) all had Kohlers. (hp=10,12,16,18) The 710 trans was a 6speed. The 712 trans was a Shuttle or a Hydro. The 716 trans was a 6speed or a Hydro. There is no 14hp. WheelBase spec is identical for entire series. So big tires should work. WheelTread specs different due to smaller tire sizes on 710, 712. Engine Specs on bore and stroke indicate a 16hp is just a bored 12hp; same stroke. (might be more to that story). Get a 712H and add tires. sm01 or get a 716H, much the same thing. But the little 10hp w big tires and a 6speed HiLo might be cool. I never knew they would be that interchangeable - is it really just tires?

There are a few rare 716's with a Briggs engine. All of the 712s that I have seen had the larger 23x10.5x12 rear tires. Kohler singles: the 12hp and 14hp are just a bore difference (some had a different counterbalance on the 14hp crankshaft). The 16hp is a different block. Also some of the 10hp Kohlers were made with the K301 12hp block.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
