Sundstrand fluid leak

Recommended Posts

bigdog46
On my 7116H Simplicity, I had an oil leak coming from around the end of the pump shaft where it exits the charge pump housing on the Sundstrand unit. I installed a new seal but it still seeps a small amount. I had never had a Sundstrand to leak in this area before. Any suggestions? Thanks. Gary.

Any idea what the various seal numbers are to get them from NAPA? My seal behind the fan is leaking. On the original problem, is it possible your inner spring on the seal fell out before installation? The shaft may have had some wear or burrs in it too.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
