Different length trans input shafts ? WHy?

Recommended Posts

Was out mowing with my 2010,the drive belt was slipping, so I went to swap it with one from my late B10 that is in the midst of restoration. Found out the rear pulleys are different diameters..I understand the 'why' of that...BUT, Im trying to figure out the reason for the different lengths of input shafts... one is about 1.5" and the other is 2.5"

Are your pictures less than 100k in size?? I see you use tinypic for loading. I see more pictures loaded with photobucket here. I load my own after using "Pixresizer". Also no special characters can be used in the file name. Try uploading pics in here, http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=9 Once you get used to it, it's easy cheesy.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
