Tires/rims for my 7117

Thanks Ray, although I am not quite sure where you are measuring. Wouldn't want to interfere with the cone clutch though. I know the tires that are on it are not original. Suppose the manual will say what size of tires it came with.

23-10.50 x 12 is std size for your 7100. Those look like Sunstar 20 when the 60" mower is installed. I think they would hit the seat deck fender edge. They also will make overall width of unit wider than the 48" mower .

Hi 1Liter. Thanks for the tire size. I am not too concerned about the seat pan, as I can trim that a bit. My deck is 42", so they would really stick out. I don't think that is a bad thing either.

Look at this from Zippo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmPqbJZ7osM And here are 24 X 12 X 12 ag tires I installed with 8-1/4" rim spacing and shallow offset. Before picture. With 23 X 8.50 X 12 with deeper offset.

After picture.

Between the 4 X 4' measures 39", so a 42" deck will work.

And a now a profile pic.

Back space is the measurement from the flat mounting area (where the wheel meets the axle flange) to the lip of the rim. Offset is the measurement from the rim centerline to mounting flange. Rims with positive offset have a shallower backspace as opposed to a rim rim with negative offset have a deeper backspace. For example nearly all front wheel drive cars have negative offset wheels while older rear wheel drive cars had a much less negative offset and a few had a positive offset wheels.

Mounted the tires/wheels on the tractor this afternoon. I left the hub spacer on it that came with the tractor. I think they look pretty good. Clearance is not an issue even with the seat-pan. I like it. I want to get a set of 24 X 12 X 12 Carlisle Truf Masters on one of mine. See a set on a new Prestige and was amazed at the size difference compared to the normal 23 X 10.5 X 12`s.
