tine extensions

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone. My 36" tiller had tine extensions when I purchased it. The previous owner had worn the original pin holes, and opted to drill a new pin hole on each extension, about 90 degrees to the original hole. These were bolted with a 5/16" bolt, in an approx. 3/8" hole. Needless to say, the extensions are a bit sloppy this way. I figured I would ream the holes out to 3/8 and pin or bolt with closer-fitting pins. This will take some flop out of the extensions, but I think it will still be present. I have seen end bearing supports mounted to the side tin elsewhere on this site. Maybe this is a good option. Other thoughts on this?

On the rear rims of my 616 Yeoman, the holes had worn pretty badly. I machined a tube to slip over the existing hub and drilled new holes in the new pc. then slipped it over the hub and lined up the holes and welded the tubes to the hub. Works great and should last for years. Steve

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
