Sunstar driveshaft U joint

Recommended Posts

My 20hp sunstar started having a small vibration in my footboards. I have taken the cover plate off over the hydro and I can see the shaft has play in it at low speed. I have also felt the shaft and it seems there is play in the u-joint. Can the u-joint be replaced? I just don't want to remove the shaft yet without knowing this can be done? If the shaft can be dropped out, u-joints replaced and shaft reinstalled then it should only be a couple hr job but my grass is growing to quick to have it down to long. Thank, Gary

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
