Rebuilding voltage regulators

Recommended Posts

JohnFornaro
Ten or more years ago, there was a guy in Charlottesville, who ran a starter shop. He rebuilt my SG, and he rebuilt the voltage regulator for a Briggs 10 hp engine. He died, sadly, and his company died also. Question: Does anyone know how to rebuild these old Delco voltage regulators?

I think most starter shops can do this. I googled a starter repair service in your area, John, and came up with Breedens Generator and Starter Service. 434-977-1505 I would start there and see where it takes you. You can also try NAPA, they may have them new.

Indeed. It was Mr. Breeden who died. It's no longer in the phone book, and his old place of business is some newer computer store or something. Thanks for looking tho.
