I have a chance to pick up a simplicity W walk behind for $175.00 with snow plow ,dirt plow, and cultivator. 1st and 3rd gears don't work. I have no experience with these. Is this a common problem or is there a quick fix? thanks

The rear end on the W is exactly the same as the 700/725 Simplicity's except the walk behinds don't have the shaft extending out the left side for the brake hub. Doubt its a quick fix for anything permanent. Dan

I just bought a W last week. My transmission has the input shaft and pulley on the left hand side. The FDT's have the input shaft on the right hand side. If it has the 10" plow and the model 19 engine is in good shape I would think its worth the price.

Chris, you are correct. Didn't notice this before but they are drivin off the opposite side. So much for using the parts on a B-10. It does look like the rest of the rear end is the same. Definitely with the price, the 6 inch Ag's alone are worth a bit, plus these are fun to drive with a sulky. Dan

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
