I had watched for one of these for quite some time, but never found one close enough to chase. Then about 2 months back, a little bird told me of one in a mystical land called 'Indiana'. I went there, and sure enough! ;) She had a lot of 'charm' when I brought her home from Levi's place. ^ He had done some work to get the B-series hitching on there, and gave me one NOS ripper shank and a set of new teeth to get me started on the rest of the project. I'm very pleased with the finish, though it could stand to be more of an Allis yellow.

These shanks are now NLA, and I figured I could track a couple down. Nope. Coast to coast...dealers and distributors had nothing. The manufacturer couldn't even remember when they last produced them. So I solicited the aid of a fabricator, and I was back in business!sm01

Finished up the hitch linkage, and used the lift rod from my moldboard...this thing is HEAVY, but the hydrolift doesn't seem to feel it. I can, when sitting on the tractor though. It's surely the heftiest attachment I've had on one of these machines.

I worked with Nate at clickitandstickit to have the Gannon decals made up, and they did a fine job, as always!

Got my cutting edges cleaned up and installed last nite...they are in pretty good shape!

She's all done, and I couldn't be happier...it really bites in the field sod, and a bit more weight is needed to keep those AG's planted. I can get down about 2-3" before she'll start to buck. I'd like to try it on a gravel drive.

Wow Josh! Great work as usual! Blazerjeepman and I were just talking about one of these today. I dont think mine will ever look that nice. You did a wonderful job on it. Also, what was wrong with the original ripper shanks that you needed all new ones?

I only had one OEM shank, and they are NLA....I'll keep my eyes peeled, but I just couldn't track any down.

It's Rustoleum Sunburst Yellow. I like the color, but it is a far cry from Allis Yellow. When it's hooked up to the Big Ten, it clashes a bit. I used 16 oz paint ot 1 oz Valspar hardener, and that finish is the nicest I've had on anything. Very tough scratch resistent the same day, and has a nice smooth semi-gloss to it.

Josh: Could these ones that TSC sells be modified to fit, or are they just too big? Or is it less expensive to have them made then buy them through TSC? http://www.tractorsupply.com/-2118118
