AC B10 vs Simplicity Lanlodt 2012

Recommended Posts

I am looking at buying an Allis Chalmers B10 restored to replace my Landlord 2010 while I restore it. The B10 does not have the hydraulics or rear lift but my Landlord does. I am wondering about taking them off my Landlord and putting them on the B10. Is this a really difficult procedure? I think they are virtually the same tractor if I'm not mistaken. Can someone verify this for me? Thanks Bob

They are essentially the same tractor. Here's the Allis instructions on installing it, so you can get a sense of the task you're undertaking. http://www.simpletractors.com/operation/hydraulics/hydraulic_lift.htm IMO, the key determinant might be if the rockshaft on the Simplicity is short (meaning factory installation or it's been sawn off) or whether it still will allow you to mount the lift lever. Removing rockshafts to swap them can be a time-consuming task on oldies especially if they're rusty. Often requires heat, lots of penetrating oil, big hammers, etc. Bottom line -- I doubt I'd do it, especially if I were only going to be mowing with it...

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
