4041 front tires

Recommended Posts

question is... i have 2 powermax's and on both sets of front tires there is a spacer behind the front wheels.... the tire size is 20.5x8x10.. even with the spacer ther is not alot of clearance between the tires and ball joint.. the rims have no backspacing on them??? its 4 inches on either side... i bought both tractors from same person and both of these spacers are homemade... can i go to a 6inch rim for the fronts... i see from the manual i can go with the high capacity tires 6x9...thanks chris

Your rims are fine. The standard turf tire front rim is zero offset as you stated. It is common for the 20.5x8-10 tire to rub the tie rod ends. Spacers are the best solution. Aparently this was not a problem with the OEM 20.0x8-10 tire. Just keep the spacers or add to them if needed. John U

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
