Trencher Restoration, Finished 7/11/2012

Since spring planting is finished I am going to start on the trencher.


Already made a big improvident by getting rid of the big ugly brown seat....


Lots more to come....:D

Mike, that's looking better already. Just wondering what color are you going to be painting this tractor LOL. can I suggest some shade of yellow :D Can't wait to see more pics of it as the project begins Have fun with it and don't let Murphy stop by and borrow some parts sitting around while it is going on

Very cool attachment.8D Thats got to be the heavy/largest rear attachment to fit a FDT...unless,,, was there a backhoe for the B-series? Cant wait to see it done (and the proper color) sm01

Here are some dis assembly pics from today.


Digging Chain


Draining the oil


Make records of where which hydraulic line goes where and unhook.


Made an oily mess:D


I even found some Yellow...:DdOd




Lots of little parts, more to come later.

Wow, they really did a[img]/club2//attach/UCD/censored1.gif[/img]of a job paintin that thing orange! Not too much yellow showin. Pretty soon, the fun part will start! :)

Yes they are, the are 23x8.50x12 Goodyear's :D Worked on the project for about 12 hours yesterday didn't take very many pics. Here are a few though.


Found some rather rusty sheet metal while cleaning up the engine(removing the mouse motel...)C The oil pan was also pitted badly.


Was able to find some good sheet metal and a good oil pan from a parts engine.


Here is the Briggs 23D cleaned up and waiting for a new coil and paint.


The original grill after a little straitening and patching. More later

      Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
