Hi, I have a cast 16 briggs, and the throttle shaft has a bunch of slop in it.. I was reading another post about rebushing it. i was wondering what this involves, and if anyone knows where to get these parts . thanks, Steve

Your other option is replacing the entire upper carburetor body. Briggs and Stratton PN# 299687 BODY UPPER CARB This includes a new throttle shaft and butterfly, new float valve seat, new idle jet and new bowl gasket for somewhere around $32. I have done several carbs this way and IMO it is like a new carb.

Thanks for the info - I have a 326400 series which surges at low speed. When I apply pressure to the end of the throttle shaft, it seems to clear up. I bet my throttle shaft is a bit too sloppy. This looks much easier than replacing the throttle shaft and bushing.
