Allis Chalmers 312H

Just purchased an Allis Chalmers 312H. Everything works well and cuts good, but has one problem. It slows down "whenever it wants". I will be driving along mowing and all of a sudden it just slows down. No rhyme or reason to it. Anyone have any idea why or how to fix the problem?

1.check your shift linkeage , I suspect it has unwanted movement 2. check fluid level 3. check drive belt , I have found that sometimes clutch pedal does not return fully, letting belt slip

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
