6216 simplicity trans problem

Recommended Posts

I've got a 6216 with tractomatic drive. It's recently started being hard to get in rev and 2nd gear and when you do get it in gear it wwants to jumb back out of gear. 1st and 3 rd are ok. Is something out of adjustment or a internal problem?

Could be detent springs are not holding the gears in place. If that is the case, the transmission needs to be split in half to do the work. I am assuming you have the transmission with the cast iron case.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
