Local Find...York Rake model RM

Checked another attachment off the list...been a good year, and it keeps getting better ^ This one will get a refresh in AC yellow, I think, and probably some new hardware, bot overall, it's in nice shape, with some of the original color showing through. It could use one tine, and I'll re-bush the wheels. Rubber is real nice, and the ID tag is in good shape too.

I did search around ST and the web, and really cannot find much more on this than the breif mentions of it as one of the 'approved' attachments in the Simple trACtors literature. Seems to me, I heard mention of one down in Ohio...somewhere in Jonnysac's neck of the woods. I'd love any info anyone might have.

The most suprising thing to me about the unit is it's weight...this thing is HEAVY. The literature says 136# without the optional blade. There is some serious steel in this. Being so bulky, it's definitely a 2-man (or 1 FEL) job to lift into the truck. ;)

That's sweet! But what'll be even sweeter is when you get that one tine replaced and haul that thing north and do some work at my place with it. :D

I've been looking for one of those for many years. Nice find. I saw a grader blde and brackets for one at a swap meet a few years back. The guy wanted $75 for them. Wasn't going to buy othose with no rake. Keep us posted on the resto. sm01

I sure would love to have the grader for it as well...I'll have my eyes open for that. Not sure when the resto on this would begin. Has to wait until the other 3 projects I have going are wrapped up.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
