Hi all, Someone here gave me a down load of a AC sickle bar (Thanks so much) but the mechanism and Pittman arm do not match up at all ??? Do you think this was a jury rig job or did they make a different set up ? Thanks....

If possible download a picture of what you have. The pitmans were a weak area on these and many guys came up with other solutions.

The types of linkages changed over the different models. Some of the linkages used heim joint ends, earlier styles used a "dogbone" shaped link with brass bushings and ball bolts. Poke around the how to use the site directions, and learn to use the search engine. If you find a pic that matches your sickle, link it so we can see what you have. Did not take me to long to find this one. http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=33811&SearchTerms=sickle
