Here is a link to a rebuild I do for my steering boxes. http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=76676 Maybe it will give you a few ideas to repair your box! Dan

Most of the stiff/tight steering problems are the result of dirt/chaff accumulating over the years in the gear teeth as Dan has pointed out. My 3314H had this problem. Tom(PK)

Corrosion between the shaft and the bushing causes the stiff steering. There is no grease zerk. Best bet is to take it apart and clean up the corrosion and put it back together with a good waterproof grease between the two parts.
