Carb part missing

Recommended Posts

Was mowing with 3112H and when got to garage, I noticed the round "cap" at the bottom of the carb was missing. I can't find it, but have another tractor that I could steal from. How is that held in place/removed? Is it just pressed on?

The welch plugs are rarely reusable. They are domed and when you tap the center they are supposed to expand to fit the slot. If it falls out you can take a punch peen the aluminum around it. Personally I don't use the welch plugs anymore. I get an expansion plug at the auto parts or farm store. You just tighten a nut in the center for installation and its reusable. http://www.dormanproducts.com/c-354-expansion-plugs-quick-seal-rubber.aspx

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
