Sundstrand fluid change

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I recently bought a 7116 with manual lift. I drained the fluid but only about 1 qt. drained, put on new filter, filled with Type-F but it would only hold 1.5 qts. I done everything according to service manual, holding vent pin up while filling, etc. Manual says this Hydro capacity is 3qts.I have drained it twice with the same result. Hydro operates fine, before & after fluid change. Is there anything else I should do, or leave it as it is? Thanks for any info Kenny

Probably is fine. The pump holds fluid as well that won`t come out on a fluid change. I don`t think I have ever been able to get the 3 quarts in it either.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
