Bridgestone Dual Sport 175

Could be one or two of you might recall these motorcycles. They had a twin cylinder 2 stroke rotary valve induction engine and were priced higher than either Honda or Yamaha of equal displacement. The one I have is in very nice condition with almost no wear but there are problems. There is rust coming through the chrome on the fuel tank and the inside of the tank is badly rusted. The inspection sticker on the fork showed that it was last on the road in 76. I got it from the man who bought it new in 1970, an accountant who rode it 2 miles RT to work and back when the weather allowed. But the last year on the road he was caught in a rain and laid it down. The shifter lever was broken at the toe catch and the chrome around the headlight was dented and scratched a little. But it scared him and he parked it until I got it a few years ago. It had been kept in his heated basement for all those years. I don't know if I'll keep the bike, It pulls my 270 lbs just fine but I feel about like a monkey on a football when I ride it. Keep it or not, I could use a few parts. An ignition switch and key and a fuel tank petcock. the following was found on the web at http://www.bridgestonemotorcycle.com/parts.htm "The fuel petcock from a 1975 Kawasaki Z1B (51023-055) is a close match to the 175/200 & 350. An similar alternative is a Kawasaki Z900A4 (51023-1021)" If you happen to have either of these items and would be interested in selling please PM me. Old ad for a bike like mine http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/9/bs175dtgogo1966.jpg/sr=1
