how tall is the factory belly grader blade?

I have a few dozer blades laying around. One of them is a bit beat up so I plan on cutting off the hitch receiver from the blade and reversing it. I will also need to cut down the blade and re-weld the receiver on the opposite side. Question - how tall is the factory grader blade. Thanks.

Thanks. I was guessing it was 9" max. I have the lift arm cut off the hitch and the receiver cut off the blade now and my line scribed at 9". I'll move my line down a bit and cut. 7" seems a bit short though. From what I have seen of the belly blades they are a lot thicker metal than the snow blades so I'll have to add some reinforcing, I think. Probably tack a piece of 1" angle across the back (old front) of the blade. Maybe in a couple spots.

Oh, I also don't see why I can't weld a couple more tabs on the hitch to fit the width of the back of the tractor so it could be belly or rear mounted either one. Probably will do that too.

Half way :D:D It measures 8" by 42" You might want to figure out some weight to add unless you plan on standing on it for down pressure. The factory grader weighs almost 70 pounds, much more I think than a cut down snow blade will.

Yeah, I had a belly blade a long time ago and remembered it was much thicker steel, I had to put down pressure on it with my feet even though it was heavier. I went ahead and cut it down this afternoon and welded it up. If I can figure out how to post a pic or two I will. I made it 8 3/4" high x 42" long. Still need to add some angle iron to the back for reinforcement. I think it will be a little on the wimpy side and get bent if I don't reinforce it. Can't upload pics I guess so here are some links. Might work, might not. http://forums.ufc.production.sparkart.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=3908&d=1342906979 http://forums.ufc.production.sparkart.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=3909&d=1342907013 http://forums.ufc.production.sparkart.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=3910&d=1342907037
