front end loader

Recommended Posts

Wanting to build a front end loader. I am looking to use the loader mainly to move snow away from my narrow drive way. I am thinking of no hydraulics, using a winch to do the lifting and a trip bucket. and using a deep cycle battery or two to power it and mounting the batteries on the rear to power it and weight balance. Have any of you done something similar? I have a bigten. I believe I can save a lot of money by not using hydraulics. Thanks in advance.

You will be doing a lot of dumping and posibly getting off tractor to get the snow out of the bucket. A blade or a blower might be more efficient. http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=120031
