Removing Electric PTO

Recommended Posts

BruceH
I'm preparing to remove the engine in an AC 312 in anticipation of a rebuild and am wondering about removing the electric PTO. I believe there are 4 bolts thru the PTO base plate into the front of the block. Are these all that hold it in place, and if so is there anything that I should be aware of before removing it?? Thanks for any assistance!

There's also a bolt thru center of engine crankshaft, haven't had mine off yet, but I'm sure it figures into removal of the clutch. As with anything you work on without benefit of a shop manual, be observant and don't be in a rush. Best of luck----------Dick
