Another Purdy Girl (on a Serf)

Well, Momma and I are expecting your newest club member here in mid November, and she was pretty fired up when I brought home my Yeoman this summer for Junior. (Pics are fuzzy, but it's a real nice original that I've since bathed and snapped some hubcaps on)

I had my heart set on a Serf, but couldn't track one down, until this past week when a fella emailed me out of the blue with one to offer up. When I showed Momma his pics, she definitely liked this smaller machine better, and told me to hit the road. So I took a drive Satruday and brought home something even smaller cuter (according to Momma).

I'm darn glad you finally found one; I know you've been looking for a long time. Looks like it was well worth the wait, though, cause that's a clean looking machine. I think you should outfit it with a hi-lo like Tim's. A little 4" or 6" moldboard plow on the back would be cute, too.

Yeah, she's better than I could have ever expected to find. I do have a small frame HiLo, but it's for a Broadmoor, so I may have to modify the handle. Another odd thing about this one, is that there is no HiLo handle hole in the seatpan. Other 525's I've seen have had that. This one is an early '69....plain Jane and serial #35.

Thanks :) I did snag that NOS small frame lift kit taht was on ebay...that tiny deck is actually a PITA to lift up and try to hook, plus I'd like to give a dozer a try on it in the snow. It should be fun to play with for a minute ;)

You need to try to find a 27" snowblower for it. You'll be amazed at how well it shoots the white stuff. Ain't it funny how everyone that drives that little Serf looks like a giant compared to driving a large frame tractor?sm00sm00

I had one once, and sold it, thinking I'd never use a small frame. I'd take anything I could get for the little guy now. Have to keep my eyes peeled...I got time ;) They are a ball to drive...a unique feeling, for sure.

I got one of those little Radio Flyer carts that I hope to blast and redo in Simplicity colors and script. Saw one once and thought it was sharp. :o)

I've never seen that look either, but it looks to be about like it'd of guessed it... Nice find. I agree on the snow blower; it'd definately be a nice addition and a reason to get some seat time.

Shre's lookin good now! Got my caps and lift kit on...need to score some counter weights though. It doesn't take much to make this lil one off camber. I can't keep the front on the ground when mowing my side hills here at the house sm00

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
